Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here
After an hour riding the redial button to try to get a table at Per Se, I am beginning to lose confidence. There was a glimmer of hope at 10:05, when I actually got a ring. The line rang and rang, for a full minute ... and then disconnected. That was the best minute of my day. My bitterness and ill humor have increased steadily with every minute since. I can't get the sound of busy signals out of my head.

Don't succumb!! I'm so sick of the NYC game, trying to get a table at a fabulous new 'in' place. This is why I eat at neighborhood joints.

Congratulations on the new site design! It looks terrific. I really enjoyed your site before and am sure I will enjoy it even more now...oh and happy belated birthday!

You should try the line again if you still want to go. I for a whim tried this morning and got through on the first try. Unfortunately the first deuce they had was March 27th at 10pm.
But hey, I am not going to pick and choose at this point.

I actually called this morning a couple of minutes BEFORE 10 and they picked right up. Unfortunately I'm only going to be in town for a couple of days and they had to put me on a wait list. I'm still not going to abandon hope. (Also, the reservationist couldn't have been nicer - wanted to accomodate me on alternative dates, etc.)

Yeah, I figured things would lighten up after the first day or two. However, the phones continued to be busy on Feb. 2nd until they shut down at 9pm.
